The Joy of Christmas is Friends

December 20, 2011

Way back in Middle School, five friends formed a bond that has truly stood the test of time. Through the awkward middle school phase, to high school; getting drivers licenses and cars, being cheerleaders, senior class trips, graduation… to visiting at college, late nights out, good and bad breakups, graduation… to getting jobs, finding careers, engagements, weddings, pregnancy announcements and babies… we have stayed in touch and gotten together every Christmas to celebrate each other and our lasting friendship.

Some years our evenings together involve husbands, or families, but this year it was just about the girls. We met up at Bonefish Grill this past Friday night for dinner and three of us continued after dinner with drinks in Midtown.

“Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold.”

and after dinner we ran into a few other old high school friends

Running into more high school friends + a photo booth in Midtown = this

A true golden friendship is rare, and I am blessed to have many. I love all of you, and I wish you a very, very Merry Christmas.

Cheers,
